SLAM is a high-energy sports and team-building outreach program that runs every Monday night. Throughout the year, hundreds of youth come to SLAM engaging in fun games, team sports,
Bible teaching, small group discussions, and lots of hugs!

In this unique season we have adapted our SLAM program to keep students and mentors safe while still connecting in engaging ways, so Life-on-Life relationships can be launched outside the walls of the program. We’ve launched SLAM Squads in groups of 25 or less in 5 locations throughout Chicago where students can come to play games, receive Bible teaching, and spend one-on-one time with their mentors.

SLAM creates the perfect environment for our team of dedicated volunteers to start building meaningful Life-on-Life relationships with our teens–and these relationships don’t stop there!
Our volunteers spend double the amount of Life-on-Life hours with youth outside of SLAM as compared to inside, intentionally targeting areas of academics,
life-skills, spiritual development, family, and fun.

Expanding beyond the borders of Chicago, GRIP has trained churches and organizations on
Life-on-Life discipleship and on how to launch an effective SLAM program–multiplying the number of Life-on-Life relationships with this fatherless generation.

Come join us for a tour of SLAM at Moody Bible Institute’s Solheim Center to see our flagship program in action! Contact us to schedule a visit, or sign up to volunteer.
