After living in Chicago for 13 years, Josh and his family are passionate about seeing the city transformed by the gospel of Jesus. This is why he’s excited to run the Chicago Marathon for GRIP, supporting the important work of investing in Chicago youth through Christ-centered, Life-on-Life relationships.

Josh shares, “I started as a GRIP volunteer in 2010 and quickly met Steven and was welcomed into his family. Now 9 years later we’ve both gotten a front-row seat to God’s work in each of our lives, and I wouldn’t trade our friendship for anything. Please join me in this important work by financially supporting GRIP as I run the longest race of my life! If 50 people give $40 then I’ll reach my goal!”

Josh also shares, “As a volunteer mentor I also met a young man named Lazerick. We walked together for 2 years—playing ball, grabbing dinner, and talking about life—and I loved it. A year ago, we celebrated Lazerick’s life and mourned his passing. He left this earth too early, and his life inspires me to continue this important work.”
