Karyn Kim

Karyn Kim and her husband, Brian Administrative & Development Coordinator

Karyn Kim was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. She has a B.A. in Chemistry and Spanish with a minor in Business from Washington University-St. Louis. She has been a marketing research consultant for 7 years with BASES, a service of The Nielsen Company, and worked with suburban youth for several years through New Life Church and Joshua Generation (J-Gen).

She heard about GRIP through volunteers at her church and started her involvement during the planning of a fundraiser in the fall of 2006. She officially joined the GRIP staff in February 2008 as the development director. She and her husband, Brian, are active members of Harvest Community Church in Hoffman Estates, IL

First Job: Sales associate at Wal-Mart during the summer after senior year of high school

Favorite Song: Changes often and I sing a lot (just ask Brian), but I love a few good rounds of King Jesus is All
