Chy Robins

Chy Robins Mentorship & Programming Coordinator

Chy Robins was born and raised in Chicago by her mom, Lucy. Her first encounter with urban youth ministry was as a 16-year-old SLAM kid in 1999. She made the decision for Christ during that school year, on Good Friday, 2000. Chy returned to SLAM as a college student in 2005 and served the Lord and our kids as a coach for three SLAM seasons, and she is currently a Head Coach with the SLAM program.

Chy is an active member and servant at Philadelphia Church under Pastor Larry Butterfield. In 2007, she graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Community Health & Wellness. After spending the summer of 2007 as a GRIP intern, Chy responded to the Lord's calling to full-time ministry. Seeking clarity on a burden she'd already felt for the city of St. Louis, Chy recently accepted the directive; she is now learning and training, in hopes of putting GRIP's vision into action in St. Louis, MO.
