GRIP The School

Purpose: To reach-out, engage, and mentor student leaders and to train local church volunteers how to engage students on the campuses of public schools.

Description: Entering a war zone… Stepping into the world of our kids… Searching book bags as students enter the building... Helping with security in the halls… Hanging out in the cafeteria and building relationships with kids… Assisting teachers and the administration… We do all of these things to get to know kids in their own environment and see how they react to the incredible challenges of being a student in an inner-city public school. We help to develop student led clubs for encouragement, leadership and character development, accountability, and prayer.
